Thanks to everyone who sent me mail to let me know that control-D ist the "standard" serial-line EOF indicator for the PostScript emulator. A number of you pointed out that the information is in the Apple LaserWriter appendix to the red book. Explains why I couldn't find it; my red book (PostScript Language Reference by Adobe) doesn't HAVE such an appendix ... At any rate, my emulator appears to work correctly now. So let me ask another question, if I may: should my emulator terminate with a QUIT or STOP or some such, or is it proper to simply allow the function to terminate execution without an explicit return to the interpreter? Again, thanks. Terry R. Friedrichsen uunet!sunquest!terry TERRY@SUNQUEST.COM TERRY@SDSC.EDU (alternate address; I live and work in Tucson)
