Dear Post_Scripters:
I do not know much about the postscript language. This is one
of those appeals from a novice to the experienced! My experience
mainly involves Tex and dvips.
I have several image files that I would like to printout on
a postscript printer (LaserWriterPlus). The files come in two
formats:
1.) Run_length encoded.
2.) 24 bit - bmf (Apollo bit map file).
I have no idea if this is possible. I am hoping that some kind
soul will have pity on me and answer a few general questions:
i.) Is this possible?
ii.) If possible, is it "easy" to do?
iii.) If easy, how does one do it?
iv.) If hard (or not easy), what are the steps involved
in doing it? In particular, what details about the
bitmap files must I know (header, format, ...), what
postscipt commands or macros do I use and so on.
I do have the three set series (RGB - Addison-Wesley).
Any pointers would be helpful.
Thanks in advance,
Peter J. Tonellato
