[comp.lang.postscript] Color Postscript support for Versatec electrostatic plotters

ehrlich@psuvax1.cs.psu.edu (Dan Ehrlich) (08/20/90)

We are looking at getting a Versatec electrostatic color plotter and
would like to be able to get Color PostScript output on it. Does
anyone know of any software that will take a Color PostScript file and
convert it to the raster format that the Versatec want?

Also, if anyone has any suggestions as to other electrostatic color
plotters that can be made to support Color PostScript please let me
know.

Please e-mail to me and I will summarize back to these groups.

I saw a Versatec plotter running @ MacWorld (from PostScript), and the
images were great! The company that makes the interface is:

	National Reprogrpahics
	Cadgraphics Division
	44 West 18th Street
	NY, NY 10011
	212-366-7073

They use a PC-based RIP, I think it was the CAI one, but I could be
wrong. It supports 400dpi, and 42"x12 feet images.
