[comp.lang.postscript] Previewing Mac-generated files

Hi,

I'm working on a program which must display PostScript programs
on a SparcStation. We are working under X, using the Motif widget set
for the UI, and GhostScript as our previewer. Most of the ps files we
need to preview were composed with MS Word and Aldus PageMaker, on a Mac.
I have some questions about how to do this.

(1) Is there a way to transform ps files generated by PageMaker and MS Word
into portable PostScript programs, i.e., programs that use only those
operators defined in chap 6 of the Adobe's Little Red Book?

(2) Is there a better PostScript previewer than GhostScript out there for
the X environment on the SparcStation?

(3) Is the code for eexec available? Someone mentioned something to me about
this information being available in an Adobe "Black Book", but I've never
    seen such a beast.

	Thanks in advance,
