A PS code I wrote draws our university gearwheel logo. It is not very elegant but quite legal, as far as I can see. Of course, the logo must be scaled and translated in various ways. What I get usually is not what I would like to see: there are one or more missing linejoins and/or (what is worse) strange spikelike things which can totally ruin the logo. Exactly what I get depends on scaling, position and linewidth, and the printer (mostly I use QMS-PS 800+ or Apple LaserWriter). And yes, by careful trial and error process it is possible but not where you want them and not the size you want. Has anyone had similar experiences with QMS printers? What can I do about it? Help me!
