Thanks to all who responded to my request for information. While I asked for PostScript viewers for OS/2 and for Unix with X, I got responses for numerous environments. To summarize the responses I got: Digital's implementation of X, DECWindows, comes with a PostScript viewer called "dxpsview". The standard release of the X Window System includes a program called "xps". The "X Frequently Asked Questions" list says that this program has known problems with fonts. A PostScript viewer called "ralpage" is available by anonymous ftp from system titan.rice.edu. The Free Software Foundation produces Ghostscript; a version may be on system prep.ai.mit.edu or on uunet. FSF's telephone number is +1 617 8763296 (Eastern United States). Sun Microsystems' program "pageview" displays PostScript with X11/NeWS. Harlequin produces a PostScript viewer called Scriptworks. Send mail to scriptworks-request@harlqn.co.uk or phone +44 223 872522 (UK). Pipeline Associates produces a PostScript program that runs on Unix. Their phone number is +1 201 7317860 (Eastern United States). Display PostScript software is available for IBM's system RS 6000. It can display its output in an X window (and in color if available). I'll repeat, this is a summary of the information I received. I have not called, mailed or examined all the sources on this list. ================ I speak for myself only, not for my employer ================ Rick Simkin UUCP: uunet!dlogics!rsimkin Datalogics, Inc.
