I am trying to construct a suitable encoding of PostScript fonts to allow them to produce a suggested 256 character layout for TeX fonts. Most things are fine, but I meet the problem that many PS fonts do not have a dotless j, on which accents can be placed (Lucida has it). So how do you people typeset material with an accented j? Can someone suggest some arcane procedure to lop the dot off the existing j? Sebastian Rahtz
