I am running some Apple LaserWriters (IIntx and the old style) and I would like to be able to disable manual feed on some of them. A software solution would be preferable, either as a postscript program I download to the printer, or a change to the CAP "lwsrv" or "papif" programs. I would also consider a hardware solution. Has anyone else addressed this problem at all? (These are remote printers and often for security reasons, the users do not have access to the feed trays, so they can not manually feed paper, and the mac sets the manual feed timeout to an hour.) Feel free to email responses and I will summarize and follow up to the net. -- Jon Finke jfinke@rpi.edu Senior Network Systems Engineer USERB239@RPITSMTS.BITNET Information Technology Services 518 276 8185 (voice) Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 518 276 2809 (fax)
