I've been following the recent discussion on EPS, and have a related question. Has anyone tried to incorporate *normal* (i.e. non-encapsulated) PostScript figures into Decwrite ? The figures we have don't have a %%BoundingBox line, but is that all that needs to be fixed ? Decwrite documentation says that it is capable of reading EPS files into documents being edited -- a box is supposed to appear where the figure goes. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. -Arun Rao rao@gabber.kodak.com (716)726-7716

DECwrite supports the inclusion of Encapsulated PostScript files, not any random PostScript files. As you might have read in previous EPS discussions in this newsgroup, it takes more than just putting a %%BoundingBox comment to transform a non-EPS file into EPS. This will work in some cases and fail miserably in others. |> Decwrite documentation says that it is |>capable of reading EPS files into documents being edited -- a box |>is supposed to appear where the figure goes. Yes it does. In fact, it can actually render the EPS files on screen via Display PostScript with the latest versions of the DECwindows software. - Paul -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paul H.
