A friend here in Southern California has one of these and is looking for other people with it. He'd be interested in any pointers to clubs in the SoCal area. He also needs a word processor. What is available for this machine? Cheryl

Have your friend check out "Home Computing" magazine as it's dedicated to the TI-99/4a, Cmdr. 64, Apple ][(?), and other "home" computers. The TI machine has since been orphaned by TI (October '83) but the number of owners is quite large and the number of active user's groups is still very high. I don't know the names of any specific group ('cept here in Dallas) as I wasn't THAT "into" the ol' machine. -Rusty- P.S. There's also the 'net.micro.ti' news/notes group. P.P.S. Try sending mail to doug@gould9 who, I believe, is in San Diego. ================================================================ *hardcopy* *electr{onic, ic}* Rusty Haddock ARPA: Haddock%TI-CSL@CSNET-RELAY.ARPA POB 226015 M/S 238 CSNET: Haddock@TI-CSL Texas Instruments Inc. Actually, a Sunday Boston Globe article this week interviewed owners of Apple /// (or is that \\\), S100/Z80 boxes and many other discontinued machines. They also talked with a few Sinclair users groups (they claim to have found 20 across the country). One guy had all 4 models put out by TI et. al. Another had picked one up at a garage sale for $2. If anyone else has one for $2, please call me...
