We are using a Linotype 500 for newspaper production. There seems to be hardly any problem, only every other day there is a page that takes 20 to 30 minutes. I checked all the other possibilities of many fonts etc. If the same page is ripped again, no problem, it takes an average of 3 minutes. From the Adobe level II specs I understood that in Level II the cache was highly improved. Does this mean that the current implementation is bad? Does anybody know anything about problems relating to the font cache? Are there ways to prevent them from occurring? Thanx for any answers Peter Kriens pkr@media01.uucp
