Hi..

I am using Interactive Unix 2.2 and Texas Instruments MicroLaser P25
(25 fonts Postscript). This is System VR3.2. This also have HP II
emulator too.

I turn on PS on and even with dumb model lp, printer does not get
Adobe PostScript header. I mean this printer will not print under
PS environment if text file is not PostScript Format. It appears that
Interactive Unix's lp environment took out some of Adobe PS header.

Can you please send me PostScript model file or any hint on setting
up connection between Unix and PostScript printing?

Thank you for your time.

willy

My experience, under HP-UX, was that the 'dumb' model was not dumb enough --
it tried to write a banner first. I created a 'postscript' model by
removing every echo(1) in the 'dumb' model. Try this for yourself.

Copyright restrictions, plus a bunch of portability qualms, make me very
reluctant to post or email my model file.
