Has anyone experienced any PostScript problems using PhoenixPage, a "complete emulation of ... PostScript v50.3 ..." (according to a handout for Seiko's ColorPointPS thermal transfer color printer which uses it.) Thanks email: bellenot@math.fsu.edu

I have been testing various PS color printers (QMS,NEC and Seiko) and find in general they all work fine. I have found that the Seiko clone PS is actually better at printing complex objects that have a gradient fill, (blending of color from a start color to a finish color). I am not sure why the clone does a better job (in fact QMS & NEC both crap out) unless Seiko is using less than 300 DPI, or maybe they don't 'flatten' like they others. Whatever, I'd recommend that you create as complex a picture as possible and get the salesman to show you a printout!
