I've heard that some programs (Adobe Illustrator?) let you display a bitmap on the screen and then lay down a spline over it, and to produce a PostScript representation of draw that spline, letting you convert a bitmap to a smaller and more manipulable format. This is a great idea; except that I don't have any toy computers. :-) Is there a program that will let me do this under X11? -- Jamie <jwz@lucid.com>
