So I must go to the old standby.

Due to the license agreement between Sun and the F3 font suppliers,
I was made aware of the fact the if I used pstorast to generate
any F3 fonts to a rasterfile and display/plot on any device other
than the screen was in violation of the license agreement.

If anyone knows of any license agreements that can/will be
violated by generating raster files and sending then to
plotting type devices please let me know. I believe that
there currently is no problem with ghostscript.

I will still release information on how to send raster files to
versatec and calcomp plotters. If I can find no license problems
with ghostscript, I will include information on generating the
correct raster from postscript and how to make it ready for
plotting.

A license can be obtain from Sun to display these F3 fonts
on different devices. If you are interesed in this, send me
mail, and I will forward it to the proper person at Sun.

This was an unexpected developement, but no hard feelings.

Overall, I'll still let people who replied know what I have learned
about PostScript to plotter, but will not be able to furnish information
on the NeWS aspect. Since I now have to build ghostscript and play,
it will be a couple extra days for the information to be sent out.

Later days from Upper Michigan....

                                         Bob

P.S. - Nothin' worse than Spring thaw in the Copper Country.
