i am connecting up an apple laserwriter ( a I not a II(xx)) to a sparcstation2 and have had moderate success printing with it. i should point out that at this time i am NOT using transcript rather, i am using a2ps and the psf utils for listings and text. output from these seems to work fine though i get inconsistent results with some graphics (fig2dev output) and dvi2ps output. i suspect that my printcap is incomplete or possibly too complete as there might be something in there i should be deleting. what i would like is if some kind netters out there who have had good, consistent results with their config that are similar to mine if they could either mail, or post, the printcap file. also, should anyone know of any little trick that has be to be turned please let me know. ( i have used the eeprom command to set my port to be set up for xon/xoff but you never know...) thanks in advance .vp p.s. the ss2 is running 4.1.1 and YES i will be moving up to transcript in the near future when i get a chance.
