Has anyone ever got uucp on the 6300+ to work while going over System 85? I've connected the pc's serial port to the DTDM on my System 85 desk phone and am trying to call into ports on my department's VAX that also has System 85 lines connected to it. First question: Do I have to modify the cables between the pc and the DTDM? I've heard rumors about breaking pin 8 and tying pins 8 and 20 together on the pc side. This seems to make things work better but.... Second question: What speed can uucp on the pc run at? The manual says 4800, the hotline folks claim 9600. Which is correct? Third (and last) question: The VAX's ports are set to 9600; will just sending breaks cause them to shift speed?
