[comp.lang.postscript] Can I create a smallcaps font by modifying the AFM info

Hi,

Given a down-loadable PostScript font (PS-file + AFM-file), is it
possible to create a smallcaps font by copying the AFM file, and
changing the info for the lowercase letters?
