[comp.lang.postscript] Include/Preview a Mac POSTSCRITP file using psfig

luj@gus16.ecn.purdue.edu (Jun Lu) (04/23/91)

I'm cross posting this to comp.text.tex, comp.lang.postscript,
comp.sys.mac and direct the followups to comp.text.tex

With the help our computer specialist(who has access to SYSTEM 7)
I got the postscript files of my SuperPaint files.

Now I want to include those files into my tex files. According to
psfig user's guide, I hand-edited out the proglog in the mac generated
PS file(I know litte about PS, can anyone tell me exactly to how to do
this ?) and instruct the psfig to include mac.pro in my LaTeX file.
I also added the BoundingBox dimensions to the Mac generated PS file
according to the PageBoundingBox's dimensions. I then run latex and
dvi2ps which supports psfig, and I got my final ready-to-print PS file.

So far so good. But I could neither preview the resulting ps file
using Ghostscript(on a Sparc)nor can I print the figure out using
LaserWriter NTX.

Could you gurus out there tell me what I did wrong and how I should go
about it ?

Help !
