Adobe manuals and printer supplements don't cover some questions that I have about the font cache and the idle time scan conversion control. First question -- I assume that if a hard disk is attached to a printer device, that some of the disk is used for font cacheing. Is there any way to control how much of the disk is used as a font cache, other than what appears to be the case, that the cache occupies what's left after you set the amount of disk for user files? Second question -- You can control which fonts are prime candidates for idle time scan conversion using (I think) setcacheparams. Arguments to setcacheparams are a list of font numbers. The LaserWriter IINTX supplement gives a list of these numbers and their correspondence to specific font names. What about fonts that aren't in this list? For example, what's the font number for Ryumin-Light? Where are the global list of font numbers defined, if they in fact are defined? ........ Henry
