Has anyone successfully converted Mac Fonts (Screen, Printer Postscript) using the Frame utilities (fmScreen2mfonts and fmAdobeMacFont) so they work with FrameMaker 2.1X running on Sparcs with SunOS 4.1 ? I have Mac Fonts that I've FTP'ed or created using Fontographer. Files are: AFM, bitmap, and postscript (download). Any info or suggestions is appreciated ! -- Nicholas Y. I've managed to use the FrameMaker utilities to transfer fonts. The only difficult part was figuring out the proper way to transfer the files from the Mac to the Unix machine. Once the files were transferred correctly, I followed the directions in Appendix A of the reference manual. I wound up using "MacIP 4.01" from Stanford on my Mac to copy the files up. Before transferring, I selected the "MacBinary" mode. On the Unix end, I used "mcvert -Ur" to extract the resource fork from each file received. The "mcvert" utility can be FTP'ed from sumex-aim.stanford.edu. It's in /info-mac/unix/mcvert-16.shar. I'm not sure where MacIP can be obtained, but any similiar program will do.
