Rattengift macht kurzen Prozess mit allem Ungeziefer ..... Folks, wouldn't it be nice to get to read a "Table of Contents" of most magazines here, shortly after a new issue comes out ??? I've been posting a summary of Consumers Report to net.consumers and the response has been overwhelming. I would expect that enough people would be delighted by the benefit, and volunteer to cover one additional magazine so that we could quickly cover most that there are. Having given up on the many computer magazines there are, and only trying to follow 2 is difficult, but every once in a while I find an interesting article in an old issue of another one I used to read, and get kind of discouraged by the mass of information trying to suffocate me. Of course, a library is an obvious good place to do some of the keeping up with things, but I don't want to start listing why getting a quick timely summary here would be such a useful addition - even making the trip to the library more pleasant and less of a torture. I believe that most see the obvious. So, any takers for "net.magazines" or "net.mags.summary" ??? I can assure you, the benefit for Europeans, Australians, for whom mags are so much more expensive and less available and timely, would be worth this (our) effort even more. And the day you (I) work outside the US again it makes it so much easier to request copies of mags and articles from home-base "Apple-Pie-Center" - preempting lots of real work to play on the net - werner @ ut-ngp ( the one-deciding vote keeping German from becoming the national language of Texas, as well as the US were cast by a German, both times. my compliments to the gentlemen's foresight )
