I love postscript! Where can I get fonts for it? Is there an
archive of them somewhere?

thanks

Hello. I have a problem. I have a program, which converts Apollo's
GMR-picture to the PostScript picture. The problem is, in the GMR-picture
I have used a custom font, where in place of @-char there is a icon of
key. But when this picture is converted to the PostScript picture, there
is @ again.

So what I want to do is: to add a new character to the TimesRoman font,
so that when @ is printed, a key is drawn. Question: HOW can I add say
procedure /key to TimesRoman font.

We are planning to add a LaserWriterII/NTX to our central facility
system. The II/NTX will have a hard disk which we hope to load up
with as many fonts as we can fit. Our question is, then, where
can we get fonts? Is there an archive site somewhere that contains
a selection of fonts, or do I have to plunk down money and
buy them? Being part of an educational institution, I'd much prefer
the shareware/freeware route. (I am aware that the II/NTX comes with
the normal assortment of LaserWriter fonts -- I'm looking for fonts
that offer things like Greek letters, math symbols, etc.)

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

please respond to lynch@chemres.tn.cornell.edu

I am looking for Postscript fonts to use with wordperfect 5.0 and a
postscript printer. I am also looking for a way to convert the TeX
fonts to a format useable by WP. Who can help me ???

Any help would be appreciated...

Does anyone know where to get the Sonata music writing font ?

Thanks, jaz@calvin.ab.com

Recently I ftp'ed the fonts that were advertised in this newsgroup.

The fonts included

36PSFNTS ZIP 1380111 2-18-91 1:36a

I unzipped the fonts and copied them to my c:\psfonts
directory and converted them.

When I try to print using one of the 36 fonts I get
error message saying that 'UniqueID not found'

I compared some of the .PFB files that I have that work
to the SLOGAN.PFB that comes in 36PSFNTS.ZIP and the only
difference I see is that the good .PFB contains

FontDirectory/PostCrypt known{
/PostCrypt findfont dup
/UniqueID known{dup
/UniqueID
 get 4375812 eq exch/FontType get 1 eq and}{pop false}ifelse
 {save true}{false}ifelse}{false}ifelse

/UniqueID 4375812 def

Has anyone else run into this?

Recently there was a post that announced a bunch of free Adobe
fonts.
I misplaced the FTP location and now I'm getting flooded with
requests for the FTP site where the fonts reside.

Could the person that posted the original post, please repost it?

The INDEX file that I got from the anonymous FTP site was:

I wasn't the original poster, but this FTP site is
->cica.cica.indiana.edu (also the home of many windows 3.0 programs)

One thing though, I was under the impression that you needed to have
ATM (Adobe Type Manager) in order to use these fonts. At least in
order to see them (in Windows). Is this not true?

How would you use them without Windows? or ATM?

I just got my registration `gift' for sending in my warranty card for
MicroLogic's More Fonts for the IBM. It is a number of fonts, and a utility
to convert PostScript Type 1 fonts to their own format... so, is there some-
where I can find PostScript or clone/compatible fonts that fit these specs?
