[comp.lang.postscript] Printing Language Conversion programs

szabo@aludra.usc.edu (Lord Dethedrus) (05/16/91)

I am looking for a utility (or utilities) that converts either Post
Script or PCL (Hewlett-Packard laser printing language) to Cannon Bubble Jet
10e printer language (if such is possible). I found a commercial program
that does this, but it costs $149... a bit pricey for my budget. Anything
along these lines in the shareware market?

I too, am looking for a utility to convert Postscript files to plain ascii
text files. I have a 500k postscript document file that I would like to
read, but I do not enjoy the thought of going through it manually to convert
it.

Replies via e-mail would be appreciated, as I am not going to be here on a
regular basis to read news. I will post a summary later, if requested.
