[comp.lang.postscript] Adobe interrupt operators - what are they?

Adobe PS code (for instance the executive) makes use of two 
operators called: "clearinterrupt" and "disableinterrupt".

I can't find any mention of these on the PS books I have.
Does anyone know what they do and if they are documented
anywhere?  And what their "prototypes" are?
