A friend of mine (Thanks, Walter!) discovered this Dow Jones article describing a new release of Adobe TranScript version 3.0. Wow! And I thought it was a dead project. I'm sure there are many, many people interested in learning what changes have been made and when the software will be available. It would be really great if someone at Adobe could post the release notes to this bboard or make them available on the adobe file server. Also, a summary of what we need to do to get a new tape would probably be helpful and stem an inordinately large amount of network traffic. The source price is not surprising...but what's this single-user site license? If that's for object only, I'd say Adobe is pricing themselves out of the market. -- Dick Dunn rcd@ico.isc.com -or- ico!rcd Boulder, CO (303)449-2870 ...Simpler is better.
