A few months ago, I recall reading several users' evaluations of "personal" PostScript laser writers in one of these two newsgroups (comp.lang.postscript and/or comp.laser-printers). Among those evaluated was the QMS PS 410 and a TI microlaser ??. At the time, I wasn't in the market for one, but now I am and wish I'd paid more attention back then. What I'm wondering is if those of you who submitted evaluations could send your summaries to me. I'm particularly interested in what you like/dislike about them, how much you paid, where you bought them (particularly if in the (San Francisco) Bay Area), etc. My investigations have so far provided me with the following data: Printer Cost ------------------------------- ----- TI microlaser PS 17 $1320 TI microlaser PS 35 $1650 NEC Silentwriter 2 90 $1550 QMS PS 410 $1800 Apple Personal LaserWriter IINT $1800 GCC Technologies BLP Elite $1500 I'm sure there are some that I've missed and I hope there are some more reasonable prices out there.
