(Putting on asbestos suit w/foot in mouth) A kind pern on Traveller's Aid pointed out that named pipes are in Xenix, and System III, and...... The result is that the recent posting of 'chat' is probably of interest to many more of you than would have otherwise bothered to pay attention (unless you caught my error as well). Anyone who is missing 'chat', please feel free to mail me for a copy. If there is widespread enough interest I will repost (a new and much improved version is being worked on).
