I'm developing a system which will use a character-based user interface (not a graphical user interface, at least initially). The intended user is not required to have any computer literacy. They will be presented menus and just type in one or two character commands as they work their way thru the menus. When they get to the bottom of the various threads of menus, they will be be presented with various information and have the ability to type single letter commands to do things like: f - page forward b - page backward x - perform various operations on the info h - get context sensitive help e - exit to the previous menu q - quit I'll want to present these options via a line at the bottom of the screen via a line like: f[orward] b[ackward] x[operation] h[elp] e[xit] q[uit]: Pretty standard stuff, right? Does anyone know of a UNIX SVR3 based screen manager that would support this? The target system is an AT&T 3B2/500 running UNIX System V R3. -- Steve Alesch, AT&T Bell Labs, ...!att!ihlpm!sja, (708)713-4188 -- Steve Alesch, AT&T Bell Labs, ...!att!ihlpm!sja, (708)713-4188
