  The program you're thinking of is known as shamus' windows, although he
  copied it from another programmer, Hans, and subsequently cut many of
  the features out till it was a pretty bad example of software...

  All those features you mentioned were in the original version, Hans (tm)
  windows. The software Shamus was flashing around WITH HIS NAME ON IT
  (I dont know if Hans knows about this...) had virtually none of them.

  Hmmm... the same guy, Shamus was advertising X windows for the Vic-20. 

  But what can you expect from a guy that pushes a pram around ??
