First of all, alt.sources is for sources only. Alt.sources.d is where questions of this sort should be sent. I've cross-posted to that newsgroup and set the Followup-To of this message to that newsgroup as well. In any case, archie (which you can access by telnet'ing to quiche.cs.mcgill.ca and logging in as "archie" with no password) has around 300 matches on the string "gnus". Here's some of the ones that look promising: Host labrea.stanford.edu (36.8.0.47) Last updated 13:12 10 Dec 1990 Location: pub/gnu FILE rw-rw-r-- 182982 Mar 23 1990 gnus-3.13.tar.Z Host sirius.ucs.adelaide.edu.au (129.127.40.3) Last updated 23:32 9 Dec 1990 Location: pub/GNU FILE rw-r--r-- 193463 Aug 6 10:32 gnus-3.13.tar.Z Host slug.pws.bull.com (128.35.10.203) Last updated 23:27 9 Dec 1990 Location: pub/gnu FILE rw-rw-r-- 194977 Oct 24 17:51 gnus-3.13.tar.Z Host schizo.samsung.com (134.228.1.2) Last updated 23:39 9 Dec 1990 Location: pub/news/readers FILE rw-r--r-- 185459 Sep 14 14:58 gnus3.13.tar.Z -- Jonathan Kamens USnail: MIT Project Athena 11 Ashford Terrace jik@Athena.MIT.EDU Allston, MA 02134 Office: 617-253-8085 Home: 617-782-0710
