[net.news.group] jokes vs humor; where to put the macintosh

Two quick thoughts here:

Making net.jokes and net.humor separate seems like a good idea to me.
I can tell the difference. Thee are lots of times when I have something
amusing that I ant to share, but it certainly couldn't be classified
as a joke. Look at all the recent traffic in - amusing company names,
mottos, street signs, and that ilk. They are not really jokes. Of course,
if we create net.humor, who is to say the next step won't be net.humorless
(that joke isn't funny - you are banished to net.humorless for your next
four submissions!!!!). Of course, supressing the automatic urge to
send everything to net.jokes might take a while....any more thoughts on this?

Second - I mentioned once before, and just saw another opinion on the same
thing, that we could try putting the macintosh/lisa discussion in net.works.
The discussions so far (besides the silly stuff) seem to have been directed
a lot in this vein. So far the discussion has followed a pattern that I
don't find too surprising: A lot of traffic after the announcement, and various
people mentioning what they have found out so far. Second, what is all
of this stuff really good for. Third (phase we are in now) everybody settles
back and waits - waits for machine to get delivered, for someone to do
something with it, for add-on hardware to become available, etc. We should
see an increase in traffic again in a couple of months as they actually
start getting into use. How about we have a place for those discussions?
