[alt.sources] What is Oberon?

erv@everest.TANDEM.COM (E. Videki) (03/23/91)

Oberon (for those who have been asking) is a 2nd generation
language past Pascal (and past Modula). The compiler and
associated tools is in the Oberon-M (x/5) messages.

See the postings in comp.compilers and comp.lang.modula2 for
more information about the whole thing.

I'd like to ask one more question. Where are the sources? I've seen
non in this posting. Really, if you must post your self-extracting binaries,
please send them to comp.binaries.ibm.pc. It seems to me to be a more
appropriate place.
