Is RFC 934 the accepted standard for the format of digests? That first two widely distributed digest encountered are not complaint with this RFC. This leads me to wonder whether there is some other standard, written or otherwise. I need this information to provide support for digest bursting in a mail front-end. The agent currently works with RFC 934 complaint digests but fails on malformed digests where "^-" to "- -" char stuffing is not done.
