A friend of mine intends to buy a printer in the near future. he is torn between a JUKI 6200/6300 and a DIABLO 620. The Juki prints at about 30cps and the Diablo at about 20cps ... the price difference between the two is about $100.00. He cannot get a NLQ dot matrix printer because the USC Masters Degree Department here in Korea requires that he use either a typewriter (UGH!) or a letter quality printer for his Masters Thesis ... Can anyone tell me anything about the relative merits of these three printers? Please reply directly to me at ghicks@korea-emh. If enough responses come in, I will summarize and post to the net ... If you care to make any alternative recommendations, feel free to do so. However, we would like to know if possible, cost, MTBF (remember: it's hard to get warranty work done in Korea), availablity of print elements (eg daisy wheels, ribbons, etc) and so on.
