[comp.protocols.iso] call for discussion: comp.dcom.fax

[cross-posted to a number of groups, please edit the newsgroups line.]

I created alt.fax a little while ago on somewhat of a whim, in order to
find out some information about facsimile equipment that I'm considering
purchasing, and to figure out which international standards were relevant.
So far the discussion has been reasonable, literate, and quite informative.

The original posting suggested that 'comp.mail.fax' would be a reasonable
name. Since then the tone of discussion has veered away from a strictly
electronic mail perspective towards a more general data communications
perspective.

In order to give the group a little more visibility, and to test the waters
for a possible call for votes, I'd like to entertain discussion on the
appropriateness of the name 'comp.dcom.fax' for a new group. No votes
yet, please; I'm not sure that the group propogates well enough or
far enough yet. Some time after usenix I'll set up mailboxes and run
a proper survey.
