In the announcement of ISODE 5.0 recently posted in comp.protocols.iso, it is said the ISODE contains the "OSI directory services". Does it mean that these directory services conform to X.500 ?
C.Robbins@CS.UCL.AC.UK (Colin Robbins) (06/26/89)
Yes ! ISODE-5.0 contains QUIPU, an implementation of X.500 developed at University College London. QUIPU provides a DSA, offering both DAP and DSP access, a procedural DUA interface, and DISH a (DIrectory SHell) DUA interface. ISODE can be configured to use this directory to lookup the address of OSI applications. For further information mail quipu-support@uk.ac.ucl.cs Colin
