FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Vancouver, B.C. CANADA -- OSIware Inc., based Vancouver B.C. is pleased
to announce that it has been granted a worlwide licence for the 
X.400 technology owned by the University of British Columbia and formerly
marketed by Sydney Development Corporation under the trade name of
Messenger 400.

OSIware Inc. is a marketing and development company specializing in X.400 
and X.500 technologies and the integration of applications using these
and other OSI protocols. OSIware consists of a team of key former employees
of Sydney. The initial equity funding is being provided by a consortium
of European system integrators with extensive experience in the marketing and
servicing of software packages.

The consortium includes DERIEUX of France, INFORMABEL of Belgium and
Luxemburg, PANDATA of the Netherlands, INTEREP of Switzerland, and
INFORGAL of Portugal.

"We are extremely pleased with the arrangement with UBC and the team we
have put together", says Jean Mourain, Director of DERIEUX. "We anticipate
the traditional strengths of Messenger 400 in the OEM and Value Added
Network markets will be enhanced by the end user market input from the
consortium."

Dr. James Murray, Director of UBC's Industry Liason Office, said "The market
will find in OSIware the necessary financial and technical stability to 
service OSI products world-wide."

Dr. Murray pointed out that OSIware has a mandate to develop partnerships
and engae in collaboration in development and marketing with interested
companies.

Edward Sadowski, Vice President, Research and Development, for OSIware
said "We expect to be fully operational by July 1st, 1989. We intend
to move aggressively forward with our mandate to further develop, enhance,
and distribute OSI technology. We believe OSIware has attracted the best
