What is the status of the University of Wisconsin OSI implementation for BSD 4.3/4.4? Where is it available for anonymous FTP? (I saw it at one of the archive sites but I forgot which one.) Thanks, Jerry O. Merlaine pacbell.com!belltec!jom

============================================= What is the status of the University of Wisconsin OSI implementation for BSD 4.3/4.4? Where is it available for anonymous FTP? (I saw it at one of the archive sites but I forgot which one.) ============================================ The network (CLNP) and transport layers (TP0,TP4) of the Univ. of Wisconsin OSI implementation (ARGO) will be included in the BSD 4.4 release. Mike Karels at Berkeley should be contacted for info on release schedules. The upper layers (session, asn.1, presentation, X.400) are being used in a NASA funded X.400 experiment on the internet. IBM owns the complete package. The pieces included in BSD 4.4 will be available under the same conditions as for BSD 4.4 (I believe the same as for BSD 4.3). Distribution for the X.400 experiment is limited to 20 sites. Unfortunately, our contract with IBM does not allow us to distribute the software other than in the two contexts described above.
