Can anybody give me a reference (e.g., an ISO Standard #) for a physical connector standard for the CCITT V.35 connector. I think I'm looking for a 4-row 34 pin connector, but any other standard used for other pinouts would also be appreciated. Please email any responses. Thanks. -- Matthew Nelson AT&T Bell Laboratories att!cbnewsh!msn ...!cbnewsh.att.com!msn

ISO 2593-1984 "Data communication - 34 pin DTE/DCE interface connector and pin assignments". Understand that connectors are ISO turf, not CCITT. However, it is a very fuzzy standard. There are three threadings in use for the lockscrews (6-32, 6-32 dual start, and a metric size). None is cited in the standard. Also, while the standard (in the 1984 edition) calls out a pin diameter of 1.6 mm, many European PTT's chose 1 mm instead. (They probably didn't have a copy of MIL-C-28748/-F handy.) Also, there is not much consistency in the field as to which jackscrew is male and which is female. This is about the fuzziest standard I've seen. Just make it compatible with what AT&T does on the DDS DSU's.
