[comp.protocols.iso] Connectionless IS-IS Network Protocol

haggart@CRC.SKL.DND.CA (Ross Haggart) (04/05/90)

What is the Intermediate System to Intermediate System ISO Standard
equivalent to ISO DIS 9542?

For reference:
ISO DIS 9542 Information Processing System - Data Communications -
End System to Intermediate System Routing Exchange
Protocol for Use in Conjunction with ISO 8473.

ISO 8473 Information Processing System - Data Communications -
Protocol for Providing Connectionless Mode Network
              Service. (Revision 2)

Thanks in advance.

There is none at this time. The standard is now in DP and won't make DIS for a
few months, at best.

The DP is:
DP 10589: Intermediate system to Intermediate system Intra-Domain routeing
exchange protocol for use in Conjunction with the Protocol for providing the
Connectionless-mode Network Service (ISO 8473)

Interdomain IS-IS routing is way in the future.
