[comp.protocols.iso] ADMDs

Christian,
In the last paragraph of your recent comments about routing
given national domains raised a question about the "internet" as an ADMD.

Currently, only governments or those delagated by governmental
administrations can be ADMDs. I think, as possibly you do too,
that this may be a constraint which fails to recognize a variety
of existing international organizations which (surprise ! SURPRISE!) do
not feel bound by political boundaries and probably warrant recognition
as ADMDs. What is being done to address this is the X.400 arena?

Does anyone know?

Thanks,

           J. Gordon Beattie, Jr.
