I am now being pulled into the future and will shortly be required to deal with both TP4 and full-seven layer OSI. My local public library has nothing of any depth on either ISO products, and my local University has just closed it doors to the public (students only, sigh!)...so, I am looking for books that explain the IS-IS protocols, NetBIOS (TOP/NetBIOS aka TP4), ES-IS, the current flap over using 49 as the 'defacto' AFI, and anything else that would assist me in coming up to speed. My first task would be to set up a router-based network, so I need addressing issues for CLNS TP4, then I would need help on what the 'selector' is/does. Anything after that would be gravy! Thank you very much for you suggested reading material. If you can, please include the publisher (and/or source is not readily available.) I am looking for both theoretical as well as practical information. -- +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Carlo Milono: cmilono@netcom.apple.com or apple!netcom!cmilono | |"When a true genius appears in the world, you may know him by this sign, | |that the dunces are all in confederacy against him." - Jonathan Swift | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
