Does anyone know of firms that offer time on ridge systems? We're down to our last ridge system here, and before we archive it, we'd like to see if we can get access to another system for short amounts of time on an as neede basis. I have the following suggestions about Ridges: 1. Contact Don Asplen, somewhere in Pennsylvania. 800-634-7055. He does maintenance on Ridges and has always been helpful. 2. Contact Richard Weyhrauch at Ibuki. (415)949-1126. He is in Los Altos (or was), and they are still using their 3200. 3. Contact Dave Folger. He has a couple of R32s.(415)965-1508. He is working out of his home in Mountain View. 4. Contact Mark Mellis. He has at least two Ridges that he is about to throw in the trash heap. His work number is (415)691-2561. He has collected them for fun. The machines are located in Mountain View. 5. Contact Tod Snook. (408)745-6755. His company is still running a few of these. He recently sold a couple of systems. He is currently trying to find someone with a floppy on the Ridge to read a couple of old discs. The company is located in Sunnyvale. Ed Basart, Network Computing Devices, Inc. ed@ncd.com

I have been fortunate enough to find the 8 inch distribution floppies at the Weird Stuff Warehouse, but was wondering about sysgen, etc. Can anyone help? -- Dave Ritchie ritchie@hpdmd48.boi.hp.com
