CPU ROM Project Leader

Apple needs proven project leaders to manage Macintosh ROM code
development for future computers.  You will help design high
performance computers with your software & hardware knowledge.  Your
management, communication and assembly programming skills will ensure
that the ROMs are ready at showtime. BS degree in EE or CS required.

Outline Fonts Engineer

Digital typography has taken on a key role in today's world of
computer graphics.  Apple has an opening for a technically-oriented
typographer to assist in the evaluation and creation of fonts.  At
least one year of professional programming experience with experience
in computer-based typography is required.

Animation Engineer

Not only is animation fun, it is the next wave in presenting and
understanding information.  We are looking for individuals to create
the core software tools that wil manage graphics and sound in
real-time, for building innovative animations. This job requires a
minimum of two years of graphics/animation programming experience,
68000, C, and Macintosh programming expertise would be extremely
helpful.

Color Engineer

Do you understand the full spectrum of issues with color, from
ultra-violet to infrared?  Do you know how artists and programmers
work with color ?  This is your chance to bring technology and common
sense together to provide an integrated and intuitive solution for
using color with computers. This job requires a BSCS or EE and at
least 3 years of computer graphics programming with a strong emphasis
on "Color Models".

Data Base Engineer

If you know everything about Databases, SQL, Distributed Systems,
Object-oriented environments; if you think Databases are powerful but
too complicated; if you want to make them easier to access and share:

minimum of 4 years experience in object-oriented databases or related
fields. CS/MS degree very helpful.

Object-oriented Environments Engineer

I/O Engineer

Is your optimization bit set "On"? Apple recognizes the importance of
a software I/O architecture, and is looking for individuals with
similar ideals.  Candidates should hold strong beliefs in structure,
integration, and compatibility, with experience in assembly language,
device drivers, interrupts, bus level protocols, DMA, or synchronous
and asynchronous I/O.  Code compactness and efficiency along with
knowledge of magnetic storage devices is a definite plus. BS in EE/CS
hardware test tools will allow you to create the best products at
Apple. A minimum of 3 years experience in 68000 Assembler and
diagnostics programming, and a BS in EE or CS is required.

Macintosh Printing and Imaging Engineers

The Macintosh PrintShop is looking for software engineers, senior
software engineers, and project technical leads who can critically
evaluate and improve printing system architectures.  We have openings
for innovators with excellent technical skills to create imaging and
driver packages for next generation output devices.  Responsibilities
include participation in printer product design, definition of
advanced firmware architectures, design and implementation of
enhanced printing system architectures, and development of the user
interface for printing systems.  If you have strong assembly
programming skills, a BS in CS/EE, and an excellent software
development background with experience in any of the following areas,
we want to talk to you:

	% Color systems, algorithms, and processes.

OS Kernel Engineer

The Macintosh Operating System and MultiFinder are moving into the
future.  Your knowledge and several years of design experience with
operating systems could make you the perfect candidate to contribute
to the our new developments in the Macintosh Operating System. BS in
CS or EE required.

File Systems Engineer

The Macintosh File System is great, but we want to make it even
better.  If you understand files, directories, volumes, B-Trees,
etc., and you are not afraid of low-level assembly language work, you
could be the person we are looking for. BS in EE/CS and 3 or more
years experience required.
