Outline Fonts Engineer Digital typography has taken on a key role in today's world of computer graphics. Apple has an opening for a technically-oriented typographer to assist in the evaluation and creation of fonts. At least one year of professional programming experience with experience in computer-based typography is required. Animation Engineer Not only is animation fun, it is the next wave in presenting and understanding information. We are looking for individuals to create the core software tools that wil manage graphics and sound in real-time, for building innovative animations. This job requires a minimum of two years of graphics/animation programming experience, 68000, C, and Macintosh programming expertise would be extremely helpful. Candidates should hold strong beliefs in structure, integration, and compatibility, with experience in assembly language, device drivers, interrupts, bus level protocols, DMA, or synchronous and asynchronous I/O. Code compactness and efficiency along with knowledge of magnetic storage devices is a definite plus. BS in EE/CS hardware test tools will allow you to create the best products at Apple. A minimum of 3 years experience in 68000 Assembler and diagnostics programming, and a BS in EE or CS is required. Macintosh Printing and Imaging Engineers The Macintosh PrintShop is looking for software engineers, senior software engineers, and project technical leads who can critically evaluate and improve printing system architectures. We have openings for innovators with excellent technical skills to create imaging and driver packages for next generation output devices. Responsibilities include participation in printer product design, definition of advanced firmware architectures, design and implementation of enhanced printing system architectures, and development of the user interface for printing systems.
