Accepting Applicants for CATS Position

We are currently accepting applicants for a position in the Commodore
Amiga Technical Support group. If you have Amiga programming experience
and meet most of the listed requirements, we would like to hear from you.
Please note that we are looking for someone with a broad range of
experience in the use of Amiga system libraries and devices. We are
also interested in technical writing, support, and hardware experience.
If you have previously applied for a position and are still interested,

Applicants are encouraged to include sample listings of Amiga code
they have written, and samples of their technical writing.

Position: Software Engineer: Support Programmer II
Department: Software (C.A.T.S.)
Reports to: Carolyn Scheppner
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide phone and network support to software developers
Research and provide solutions for developer questions
Write technical articles and developer documentation
Provide in-house technical support
Program utilities and examples
Handle developer bug reports
Study and program new Amiga systems and peripherals
Beta-test new system and development software
Skills and Education:
Required:
At least 2 years microcomputer programming experience
Experience (diverse as possible) in programming the Amiga
Proficient in C, micro assembler (preferably 68000)
Programming discipline for clean, concise, safe code
Ability to communicate complex technical information, both
verbally and in writing
Beneficial:
Unix knowledge and telecommunications experience
Basic understanding of digital electronics
Commodore 8-bit and PC programming experience
