Marine Terminal Computer Systems (MTCS) is a San Francisco based company specializing in software for marine shipping terminals. We are currently using an object oriented programming technique in designing a system for use in a dry cargo handling facility built around state of the art material handling equipment. The system will do sales support, transportation tracing (using EDI), operations management, and billing. It will be installed in Houston, Texas; Napier, New Zealand; and numerous other ports around the world. System development is on a network of Sun workstations using Unix and C++ for eventual porting to a VAX running VMS. The company presently is looking for programmers with experience in a SUN/UNIX/C++/INGRES and object-oriented environment.
