[misc.jobs.offered] Mac/PC QA positions at Radius in San Jose, CA

steve@cpdaux.UUCP (Steve Lemke) (09/25/89)

About Radius: Our technical innovations have produced award winning products,
and Radius has become the premier supplier of high performance and high reso-
lution graphics products for personal computers. At Radius, our Engineers
mean business. When projects are assigned, they get produced, not postponed.
Founded by members of the original Macintosh Team, Radius today employs a team
of talented Engineers and is looking to increase its work force by recruiting
for the following positions:

-- QA Project Leader
-- QA Tester
-- QA Test & Demo Programmer
-- QA Beta Coordinator (EE/CS not necessary)

Engineering QA attracts individuals who have a good memory for details and
steps, as well as the ability to find a general problem and then find its
specific components. QA combines hands-on testing with some debugging and
test application programming. We use popular computer platforms (Macintosh
and PC-compatibles), coupled with the best applications from the software
industry, and the latest technology from Radius. Often, we must work with
other companies to solve problems for our mutual customers. During the
development cycle, Engineering QA creates test plans and then executes them
during the alpha and beta test phases. The group is a focal point between
Radius' Engineering, Marketing, and Manufacturing groups.

The typical candidate applying for a QA position holds a BS or MS in EE/CS
with a software emphasis. However, anyone having a strong interest in
computers and working experience with Macintosh and/or IBM-PC is encouraged
to apply. Test&Demo Programmer positions require in-depth experience in
C (Mac&PC), Pascal (Mac), and/or assembly (Mac&PC). Working knowledge of
the Macintosh Toolbox is preferred for Mac software positions.

months ago, resulting in my becoming part of the Radius Engineering QA Team!
If you are looking for a job now or will be sometime in the near future, I
encourage you to send us a resume. We will have several openings for the
