A DEC Professional 350 might give more for the money. It's features are: LSI-11/23 CPU (11/34 architecture) 256K memory 5MB Winchester (I think that this is included in the price, but not sure) Dual 5.25 in floppies Graphics, including graphics processor (around 720 x 240 pixels) The graphics can be expanded to 3 bits/pixel, plus more memory, etc. It costs around $5000. It may be more if the hard disk isn't included in that price. It runs POS (Professional Operating System), which is built on top of RSX-11M+. The thing that I find neat about the system is that it is entirely user-servicable. A pencil or pen is sufficient to assemble and disassemble the whole thing. In fact it comes disassembled. It also takes up very little space on the desk when the CPU box is on the floor.

Yah, but there's still that 16 bit address space. That's the only bad thing about the Pro 350. If it weren't for that, I'd be saving my pennies for it. A UNIX port is being/has been done inside DEC, but won't be a product (aw). Chris Kent, Purdue CS
