Why doesn't on of "notes" many fans fix it to handle reasonable
subject lengths and remove that irritating "-(nf)" from the end
of the subject line.

Also, if notes is so wonderful, why are so many messages posted with
the subject "Orphaned Response -(nf)"?

While you are at it, why not fix notes to use a newer version
of the netnews software and to generate reference lines?
